Melvin Tolson on Great Debaters

Who is the jugde?
The judge is God

Why is he God?
Because He decides who wins or loses, not the opponent

Who is your opponent?
He does not exist

Why does he not exist?
Because he is merely a dissenting voice to my opinion to speak the truth

Speak the truth!

(The Great Debaters, 2008)

Why Worry?

There are only two things happen: either you are sick or you are healthy. If you are healthy you don’t have to be worry. If you are sick there are only two things happen: either you are die or get well. If you are get well, you don’t have to be worry. If you are die, there are only two things happen: either you are going to hell or heaven. If you are going to heaven you don’t have to be worry. if you are going to hell, you will be very busy shacking hands with friends inside there and you don’t have time to be worry!
