Endless Efforts

The ancient world teach us “Resofa temmangingngi malomo naletei fammase Dewata”. Free interpertation:”Only by endless efforts, sometimes will be rewarded by God”. It means the only things to do is just never give up in any kind of situation.

Friedman “Free to choose” has gone

The Giant Economist, Milton Friedman, has died, but his ideas will be forever. The Economist put a big attention in “An enduring legacy” as quoted below:

MILTON FRIEDMAN won the John Bates Clark Medal, awarded to an outstanding American economist under the age of 40, in 1951. Many consider it harder to win than a Nobel Prize. One of the measures of his greatness is that when he got it, he still had not done any of the work for which he would become most famous. Still to come were the permanent-income hypothesis, his groundbreaking “A Monetary History of the United States” (co-written with Anna Schwartz) and the proposal of a natural rate of unemployment”.

Living in A Dangerous Time

I am really mad at politicians [elite]  in Indonesia lately: they are fighthing for their own group  not for the people. It is scare me also the impact of the politician disagreements on the economic, political and security condition. One more thing to be warned, that probably the elit conflict could create a chaos at the time of  Bush coming to Bogor, like what happened in 1974 when Tanaka, Japan Prime Minister, came to Jakarta. So, this could be a dangerous time and the elite should put attention on this; otherwise, it will create a backfire to themselves! Stop fighting now!
