A Dangerous Game

During the last days, Indonesia is in a dangerous game, Freeport Case. It is not just the mining problem, but deeper and beyond our imagination. I hope the justice and equality could be given to Papua people. Hovewer, I am afraid that the Papua could be the second Timor for Indonesia. If this what happen, probably the other, especially Aceh is in line. The militeristic way is not the answer, but the humanity way: equality and justice. I told my friends many times that Indonesia do not have history as a nation, I explain the four reasons why Indonesia exist in http://deanisaja.blog.com/565658.

“The Bugis” Translation

One of my hobby is collecting literature and history books from all over the world and the history and literature of my ancestor also becoming my collection object. Some of the great writer about my ancestor’s literature and history are Christian Pelras and Nirwan Arsuka. The other are Rahman Arge, Anhar Gonggong, and Mattulada.

The perfect thing is the book titled “The Bugis” from Pelras was translated into Indonesia with the title “Manusia Bugis”. And the best thing, Nirwan become the writer for the introductory in Indonesian language.I searched this book in QB Indonesia, some bookstores in Amsterdam and Paris, but I did not find it. Thanks God that I could find it in my language, Indonesia.

I put here, the writing of Nirwan. I met him twice in Teater Utan Kayu. He is one of the great writer in Indonesia.

US Vs PRC?

I read some articles and news this week about the “competition” between US and China (PRC). Contrary to my previous opinion, I think the US still lead the world at least 10-25 years ahead. The only factor that could change the condition during the period is EU (European Union). I mean, EU is the “real competitor for US” for the current situation, China is one step behind.

Liberty

“Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breath free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send this, the homeless,temptest-tost to me. I lift my lamp beside the golden door.”. Emma Lazarus, 1883. Statue of Liberty, New York.

My Lonely Way

I am a little bit confuse of many political and economic affair in Indonesia lately. Actually I have many opinions, however, i hide the opinions because probably it will just hurt the other group while give advantage of its opponent.

Any comment in Indonesia situation, even in the name of science, will lead to political consequencies. To tell you the truth I don’t have any linked to any political groups both in national and inside my campus. I am standing and walking alone on my own way: lonely.

Curently I feel I lost some friends that had the same way in the past. Is it possible that I will follow my friends’way ?.

Once my friend told me (quoted, I think),”If you are not Marxist before 25th, you do not have heart, while if you still Marxist after 25th, you don’t have brain”.

I am not a Marxist or any position based on the any opinion analysis. I am with my own way that still hope justice and equality could be in the real face in this country. And I don’t agree that the price should be higher to make people better off as the example one of disagreement with my friend.
